The pseudo-Moorish Jerusalem Synagogue in Jeruzalémská Street was built between 1904 and 1906 as compensation for three Jewish sanctuaries in the Josefov quarter which had been pulled down. Designed by Wilhelm Stiassny, the synagogue features interiors with remarkable ornaments created in the Viennese Art Nouveau style. The Prague Jewish religious community continues to have its divine services there.
